| Description | Organic RBD Coconut oil is extracted from the meat of the coconut and fully refined, bleached, and deodorized, all non-chemical processes, to result in a bland, universal raw material. Refining removes the characteristic coconut aroma and flavor profile, yielding a versatile ingredient for a wide range of applications. Due to coconut oil’s high content of saturated fatty acids, primarily Lauric Acid (C12:0), this ingredient is solid at room temperature and highly resistant to rancidity. It is often simply called 76-degree coconut oil, referring its specific melting point. The natural fatty acid content of coconut oil makes this material extremely popular throughout the cosmetic and personal-care realm in addition to the soaping industry, culinary applications, and nutritional supplement formulations.
