Proteomics is an emerging science that develops, utilizes, and improves various technological tools to study the composition, structure, function, and metabolism of the proteome or a collection of related proteins in a particular physiological pathway in a cell. Plant proteomics is a system to study proteins originating from or related to plants and analyze their role, function, metabolism, and structure in plant life processes such as genesis, growth, regulation, and apoptosis.

Coupling two-dimensional electrophoresis (2-DE) with mass spectrometry is still the most used method for plant proteomics studies. Meanwhile, the 2nd generation proteomics technologies established and rapidly developed in yeast and mammals, such as multidimensional protein identification technology (MudPIT), two-dimensional fluorescence difference gel electrophoresis (2D-DIGE), and the two-dimensional fluorescence difference gel electrophoresis (2D-DIGE), difference gel electrophoresis (2D-DIGE), 15N metabolic labeling, isotope-coded affinity tag (ICAT), isobaric tags for relative and absolute protein quantitation (iTRAQ), and localization of organelle proteins by isotope tagging (LOPIT) have been applied in plant proteomics studies.

Sample Requirement

The experimental samples will not be returned, please back them up by yourself. Before sampling, it is necessary to set up the control group and the experimental group, and each group is suggested to repeat more than 3 times. Quick-frozen preservation with liquid nitrogen can minimize the leakage time of plant samples at room temperature. There is no restriction on plant varieties.
