Analysis of Plant lncRNA Regulating Insulator Function
Insulators are DNA-protein complexes experimentally defined by their ability to block enhancer-promoter interactions and/or serve as barriers against the spreading of the silencing effects of heterochromatin. However, the nature and function of plant insulators remain a mystery. It is reported that lncRNA regulates insulators and thus affects gene expression.
Lifeasible provides analysis services for plant lncRNA that regulate insulator function to help our customers worldwide in plant science research. Our platform is equipped with cutting-edge facilities and professional experts to support research. Here, we provide various services according to customers’ demands.
Regulating Insulator
- An insulator is a type ofcis-regulatory element known as a long-range regulatory element. Insulators are interesting sequences. However, little is known about plant insulators.

- We help customers analyze the function of plant lncRNAs in regulating insulators. Under specific induction, lncRNA undergoes transcription that affects the binding of insulators and CTCF, which may unblock the inhibitory effect of insulators on enhancers and activate gene expression.
- We also provide three main strategies to identify the plant insulators. The first strategy involves producing and screening a random oligonucleotide library. A second strategy involved the dissection of the gene; here the discovery of an insulator sequence was a byproduct of promoter deletion analysis. The third strategy was based on sequence homology to the known insulator.
