Detection and Classification of Plant Viruses

Diseases caused by viruses are the main factor in plant diseases, and many plant viruses can cause serious economic losses in a variety of crops, but as genetic engineering tools, they still play an important role in scientific research. The detection and classification of plant viruses is the basis of plant pathology research and pest control. Efficient, convenient, and accurate detection technology can not only improve the safety of plant import and export but also contribute to the prevention and control of diseases and insect pests, it plays a great role in reducing the loss of agricultural diseases and insect pests.

What We Offer

Lifeasible provides global customers with the identification and classification of viruses in various plant samples. We provide information on symptomatology, morphology, cytopathology, serology, genome structure and function, molecular genetic evolution, and genetic epidemiology of plant viruses by negative staining, immunoelectron microscopy, serology, nucleic acid hybridization, genome sequencing, homology alignment, evolutionary tree construction, and so on. We can also provide information about other physical and chemical characteristics of plant viruses, including Dilution End Point (DEP), Thermal Inactivation Point (TIP), Longevity in vitro (LIV), sedimentation coefficient, and molecular weight, spectral absorption, and other chemical properties. The results of this service will help you to research plant pathology, plant immunology, and plant resistance physiology.

Sample Requirement

  • Plant samples, > 5 g

*The experimental samples will not be returned, please back them up by yourself. Before sampling, it is necessary to set up the control group and the experimental group, and each group is suggested to repeat more than 3 times.

*Quick-frozen preservation with liquid nitrogen can minimize the leakage time of plant samples at room temperature.

*There is no restriction on plant varieties. For varieties with special requirements or rare varieties, please contact our staff for more information.

We Do Better

Lifeasible is a leading integrated plant technology company. We not only have rich experience in the determination and classification of plant viruses but also have been committed to solving various problems in botanical research and working with global researchers to find breakthroughs in botanical research.
