Plant tissue culture technology, also known as plant cloning, refers to the technique of inoculating various types of structural materials of explants (root tips, stem segments, stem tips, young leaves, young embryos, anthers, etc.) on artificially prepared media through aseptic operations and culturing them in vitro under artificially controlled environmental conditions and methods. Since plant cells contain all the genetic information of the species and have the potential to develop into complete plants, i.e., plant cells are totipotent. Therefore, plant tissue culture can be used to obtain complete plants or to produce other products of specific value.
