Microspore Culture

Due to the problems of high genetic heterozygosity, long breeding time, and self-incompatibility in plants, it takes at least 6-8 years to obtain pure self-incompatible lines using traditional breeding methods. Plant haploids are rapidly purified by natural doubling methods, which allow recessive genes to be expressed and generate new genetic traits, expanding the range of genetic variation, while heterozygous parents can be rapidly purified by free microspore culture technology. Due to the specific trait screening controlled by multiple pairs of genes, pure and diploid plants can be obtained in a relatively short time, which improves the selection efficiency. Double haploid breeding, mutation breeding, and transgenic breeding by free microspore technology are modern and effective breeding methods.

What We Offer

Lifeasible can rapidly obtain embryos and regenerated plants of target plants for embryo cloning and rapid propagation of mutants through free microspore culture technology. Thus, the microspore culture technology can be used to achieve large-scale screening of disease-resistant mutants in a relatively short period of time.

Plant microspore culture service flow - Lifeasible

We Do Better

Lifeasible, a leading plant technology company, has extensive experience in plant culture. We use growth factors and cytokinins in the induction medium or use technical means such as cryopreservation and heat stimulation treatment to improve embryo induction rate. We provide microspore culture technology that can be applied to breeding, genetic engineering, mutant creation, QTL localization, etc.
