Identification of Plant Disease Tolerance

Plant disease resistance is one of the hot spots and difficulties in current research in plant pathology, and an important aspect of plant-pathogen interactions, plant immunology, and plant breeding research. During their life cycle, plants are attacked by a variety of microbial pathogens, yet specific plant species show resistance to most pathogens and susceptibility to only a very few, due to the development of an effective innate immune system during the synergistic evolution of plant-pathogen interactions. There are many ways to identify plant resistance, which can be done at the population level, individual level, tissue, and even cellular and molecular level, generally based on different requirements such as disease, type of infestation, epidemiological criteria, and yield, etc. Lifeasible offers one to many different methods of disease resistance identification and screening based on the different requirements for identification and screening at the seedling and adult stages in the field, nursery, laboratory, growth room, and greenhouse, in combination with specific disease species.

What We Offer

Identification of Plant Disease Tolerance
In vitro organ identification and screening
Tissue organs such as leaves, branches, or tillers of the plant are used for inoculation and identification in the greenhouse or laboratory. It is more suitable for breeding disease resistance in fruit trees and forest trees.
Identification of Plant Disease Tolerance
Biochemical identification and screening
Biochemical techniques such as isozyme analysis, resistance component analysis, and serological methods were used to identify and screen resistant plants.
Identification of Plant Disease Tolerance
Cytological identification screening
The experiments are designed according to the theory of partial inhibition of cell division by Verticillium in disease-resistant hosts and are suitable for screening and identification of invasive wilt diseases caused by Fusarium and Verticillium, etc.

Identification of Plant Disease Tolerance
Toxin activity identification screening
Experiments are designed based on the positive correlation between the resistance of plants to pathogenic bacteria and toxins and the electrical resistance of their cell membrane systems. The bioassay or resistance method is often used to determine the potency of toxin activity and to further identify and screen cells and plants for resistance.
Identification of Plant Disease Tolerance
Molecular identification screening
Using DNA molecular markers, PCR techniques, cloning, and other molecular biology methods to identify resistance genes in disease-resistant plants, analyze the differences between them and diseased plants, and determine whether a genetic molecular approach can be used to screen their resistance identification.
Identification of Plant Disease Tolerance
Identification and screening of tissue culture technology
During tissue culture, physicochemical factors are used to induce disease-resistant mutations, to identify and screen disease-resistant mutants, and to explore the physiological, biochemical, and molecular genetic mechanisms of disease resistance at the cellular, tissue, and whole-plant levels.

Sample Requirement

The experimental samples will not be returned, please back them up by yourself. Before sampling, it is necessary to set up the control group and the experimental group, and each group is suggested to repeat more than 3 times. Quick-frozen preservation with liquid nitrogen can minimize the leakage time of plant samples at room temperature. There is no restriction on plant varieties. For varieties with special requirements or rare varieties, please contact our staff for more information. [Inquiry]
