Plant Secondary Metabolomics

Secondary metabolism is an important plant life activity, closely related to plant growth and development and its adaptation to the environment, and parts necessary for plant life activities, and is one of the main research contents of many disciplines such as plant physiology and phytochemistry. Secondary metabolic processes and the accumulation of metabolites are regulated by various biotic and abiotic factors in themselves and the environment. At the same time, secondary metabolites are also important sources of drugs and chemical raw materials.

What We Offer

Lifeasible has established a metabolomics research platform for plant secondary metabolites based on the holistic and dynamic nature of plant biological systems. We use different sample processing protocols to efficiently extract plant secondary metabolites for subsequent histological analysis according to different experimental purposes of different customers, helping you to study the dynamic changes of metabolites and analyze metabolic pathways, not only to observe the accumulation process of active ingredients but also to discover the interconversion pattern among components.

Sample Requirement

  • Plant tissue >3 g

*The experimental samples will not be returned, please back them up by yourself. Before sampling, it is necessary to set up the control group and the experimental group, and each group is suggested to repeat more than 3 times.

*Quick-frozen preservation with liquid nitrogen can minimize the leakage time of plant samples at room temperature.

*There is no restriction on plant varieties. For varieties with special requirements or rare varieties, please contact our staff for more information.

Application

  • Identification of plant secondary metabolite components and pathway research
  • Research on plant resistance to pests and diseases, and research on resistance to stress
  • Identification of active components of plant secondary metabolites
  • Research on the medicinal function and mechanism of action of plants

The services provided by Lifeasible cover all aspects of plant research, please contact us to find out how we can help you achieve the next research breakthrough.
