Phenolic Acid Content Testing in Pollen
Phenolic acids are organic acids that contain phenolic rings, specifically monohydroxybenzoic acid (p-hydroxybenzoate, methyl p-hydroxybenzoate, ethyl p-hydroxybenzoate), dihydroxybenzoic acid (gentianic acid, protocatechuic acid) and trihydroxybenzoic acid (gallic acid, homophthalic acid). Naturally active phenolic acids are present in pollen, and their levels and types can vary depending on the type of pollen. Phenolic acid is a relatively stable form of phenol in pollen, which has good nutritional functions and pharmacological activities, including osmosis of microvasculature, anti-inflammatory, anti-atherosclerosis, anti-radiation, antioxidant, bile secretion promotion, anti-tumor, thyroid stimulation, etc. The qualitative and quantitative analysis of phenolic acids in pollen is important for pollen's medicinal research and healthcare applications.
What We Offer
Lifeasible has been committed to providing professional and short-cycle services for the qualitative and quantitative analysis of phenolic acids in pollen. First, we have a mainstream high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) instrumentation, which is the basis for high sensitivity, accuracy, and throughput of phenolic acid detection. In addition, we have a team of experienced botanical experts to provide you with full-service consultation and proven advice. The chart below shows a range of phenolic acid assays in pollen for you to choose from. If you have special assay needs, please feel free to contact us for a customized service from our botanical experts. Based on our flexible and scalable standardized analytical testing process, we always aim to meet all your testing needs as much as possible.
Service Flow
1. Sample Requirements
- Fresh flowers, >5g;
- Pollen from fresh flowers or dried pollen from different families, >1g.
*Quick freeze storage with liquid nitrogen minimizes leakage time of plant samples at room temperature.
*Experimental samples are non-returnable; please make your backups. Control and experimental groups need to be set up prior to sampling, and it is recommended to have more than 3 replicates per group.
*No restrictions are placed on plant species. For species with special requirements or rare species, please contact our staff for more information.
*For experiments requiring special testing, please feel free to contact our staff for a bespoke testing service.
2. HPLC-MS
We have high performance liquid chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS) techniques to ensure high accuracy, sensitivity, and throughput for experts to determine phenolic acid content in pollen.
3. Phenolic Acid Content Analysis
The qualitative and quantitative data of phenolic acids in pollen from HPLC-MS will be analyzed by botanical experts to write a detailed and comprehensive report for you. Of course, you can also customize the content and format of the analysis by contacting us.
