Magnoliaceae Propagation
Magnoliaceae plants are one of the more primitive groups of extant angiosperms, with 18 genera and about 335 species, and the genus is very rich in species resources. It has been widely studied in the fields of systematic taxonomy, morphological anatomy, phytochemistry, paleobotany, molecular biology, and other disciplines, and has very high ecological, economic, academic, and ornamental values with broad development prospects.
What We Offer
Only a few genera of Magnoliaceae have seed germination rates of about 80%, while all other genera have low germination rates. In addition, dioecious plants, different flowering periods for males and females, and early stamen drop in Magnoliaceae largely contribute to the low natural fruiting rate. Lifeasible can solve the above problems well with the existing mature ex vivo culture system.

- Explants: Magnoliaceae are woody plants and tissue culture is difficult, so the selection of suitable explants is important for the success of the tissue culture of Magnoliaceae. Lifeasible has now successfully carried out tissue culture of different species of Magnoliaceae using young stem segments, terminal buds, perianth, leaf buds, stamens, young leaves, and receptacles as materials.
- Media: Lifeasible provides media such as MS, B5, WHITE, WPM (Wood Plant Medium), DCR, N6, RUGINI, and DKW.
- Other additives: sucrose, different types and concentrations of antioxidants (VC, AC, PVP, etc.), inorganic chelated iron salts, organic vitamins, etc.
We Do Better
Most of Magnoliaceae are the woody and sparse vine, with narrow distribution areas, difficult to collect seeds, a low survival rate of cuttings and grafting, and more difficult to protect and develop resources than herbaceous plants. Lifeasible can use tissue and cell culture technology for rapid propagation, drug production, and new species development of Magnoliaceae.
