Flavonoids are a group of compounds with the basic structure of chromone ring and the benzene ring, which are secondary metabolites produced by plants in the process of long-term natural selection and are widely found in vegetables, fruits, forage, and medicinal plants. It has a variety of important physiological and biochemical effects and has important preventive and curative value for human diseases, such as anti-tumor effect, anti-cardiovascular disease, anti-osteoporosis, elimination of free radicals, and anti-aging effect of antioxidants, anti-bacterial and anti-viral effect, immunomodulatory effect, anti-radiation effect and so on. Its broad-spectrum pharmacological activity and low toxicity have made it a hot spot for research, especially in the development and utilization of medicine, food, and health care.

What We Offer

Lifeasible has established a metabolomic analysis of flavonoids based on high precision mass spectrometry, which can detect more than 1000 flavonoids simultaneously based on a widely targeted metabolomics approach. Flavonoids, as a class of polyphenolic compounds produced by phenylalanine metabolism, are involved in important roles in physiological processes in plants, such as root growth, flower pollination, pathogenic bacteria, and UV stress, and are also widely used as a strong antioxidant in human disease treatment and food health. This service can realize the quantitative and qualitative analysis of flavonoids and help the research of flavonoid metabolism biology.

Sample Requirement

  • Plant tissue >5 g

*The experimental samples will not be returned, please back them up by yourself. Before sampling, it is necessary to set up the control group and the experimental group, and each group is suggested to repeat more than 3 times.

*Quick-frozen preservation with liquid nitrogen can minimize the leakage time of plant samples at room temperature.

*There is no restriction on plant varieties. For varieties with special requirements or rare varieties, please contact our staff for more information.
