Strategies for Plant Proteomics Analysis

Plant proteomics analysis includes analysis of protein structure and function, post-translational modifications, protein localization, protein expression, and protein-protein interactions, etc. Different proteomics analysis techniques and analysis strategies can be used based on different analysis contents. Mass spectrometry is one of the most used techniques for proteomic analysis. Currently, mass spectrometry-based proteomics analysis strategies include bottom-up proteomics and top-down proteomics.

In bottom-up proteomics, proteins need to be digested into peptides before entering mass spectrometry analysis. This strategy is used in common unlabeled and labeled quantitative proteomics techniques. In top-down proteomics, protein molecules are not digested but analyzed directly, which preserves the characteristics of proteins with unstable structures that are mostly destroyed in bottom-up strategies and reduces the time consumption of digestion experiments.

What We Offer

Lifeasible uses the mass spectrometry platform combined with nanoLC-MS/MS nanoliter chromatography to provide proteomic analysis services with different strategies. Researchers can choose the appropriate strategy for plant proteomics analysis at Lifeasible for different research needs.

  • Top-Down proteomics
  • DIA-PRM proteomics
  • PCT-DIA proteomics

Top-Down Proteomics Service

Lifeasible uses a mass spectrometry platform combined with nanoLC-MS/MS nanoliter chromatography to provide Top-Down based proteomics services, including protein sequencing, characterization of PTMs, and protein structure characterization, which helps to better understand protein function.

DIA-PRM Proteomics Service

The combination of DIA and PRM for proteomics studies enables the detection of large sample volumes or complex samples and the precise quantification of target proteins, especially improving the detection of low-abundance target proteins. Lifeasible provides top-notch DIA-PRM detection and analysis services to customers worldwide, easily testing hundreds of samples using high-resolution mass spectrometers and using professional analysis software to generate spectral databases of DIA data, quality control, and analysis, and provide highly accurate results.
