Bioinformatics Analysis

Bioinformatics is defined as the application of tools of computation and analysis to the capture and interpretation of biological data. It is an interdisciplinary field which harnesses computer science, mathematics, physics, and biology. Apart from the analysis of genome sequence data, bioinformatics is now being used for a vast array of other essential tasks, including analysis of gene variation and expression, analysis and prediction of gene and protein structure and function, prediction and detection of gene regulation networks, and complex modeling of gene regulatory dynamics and networks.

Prediction of lncRNA

  • The lncRNA prediction consists of two parts, basic screening and potential coding ability screening.
  • We currently adopt a step-by-step screening approach, and the final identified noncoding transcripts are used for subsequent lncRNA analysis.

Classification of lncRNA

According to the position of lncRNAs relative to nearby coding genes, we classified lncRNAs into different categories of lncRNAs. We counted the percentage of different categories which regulate coding genes differently.

Screening for Differential lncRNA

We help customers screen (Fold Change ≥ 2, P value ≤ 0.05) for differentially expressed LncRNAs between two or more groups of samples. To show the relationship comprehensively and visually between samples and gene expression differences, we do a hierarchical clustering analysis of expressed genes for our clients.

Enrichment of Differentially Expressed lncRNA Target Genes

  • In organisms, different gene products coordinate to perform biological functions, and annotation analysis of differentially expressed lncRNA trans-target genes helps to decipher the functions of genes further. The KEGG database is the main public database on Pathway, and the GO database categorizes and summarizes the biological functions of genes.
  • We enrich the annotation results of differentially expressed lncRNA target genes in KEGG and GO databases for enrichment analysis of annotation results.

Interactive Analysis of lncRNA and mRNA Differential Expression

  • The expression of lncRNA and mRNA in different combinations of paired analysis indirectly shows the relationship between lncRNA and mRNA expression in a certain biological period.
  • By comparing the differential LncRNAs obtained from two or more data sets, we analyzed differential antisense lncRNAs, Enhancer LncRNAs, and lincRNAs with the corresponding mRNAs.
  • In addition, we plotted the corresponding volcano and MA maps for the interactive analysis of differentially expressed lncRNA and mRNA expression and distribution on chromosomes.
