Microbiological Testing in Coffee Products
During the production, storage, transportation, and sale of coffee, improper sanitation control can result in mold growth. Mold contamination can lead to food spoilage, destroy the color, flavor, and taste, loss of food edible value, and produce fungal toxins harmful to human health. The use of professional testing technology can accurately detect the presence of microorganisms in coffee.
Lifeasible provides solutions for rapid microbiological testing of coffee beverages. These solutions combine rapid culture and highly sensitive detection methodologies. It greatly reduces detection time and enables simultaneous microbiological testing at different incubation temperatures. It is widely used in coffee products for food safety testing.
Microbiological indicators
- Total colony count, coliform, mold, salmonella, shigella, staphylococcus aureus, etc.
We provide testing scope
- Coffee, roasted coffee beans, coffee powder, instant coffee, other coffee, etc.
We offer various solutions for the microbiological testing of coffee products
- Molecular biology detection methods
We study biological macromolecules, including nucleic acid structures and their constituents, at the molecular biological level. We use PCR technology as a very powerful tool for detecting microorganisms in coffee, which is widely used for rapidly detecting pathogenic bacteria. This technique also plays an important role in detecting coffee microbes because it is easy to use, takes a short time to grow, has a quick amplification time, and provides accurate results.
- ATP bioluminescence assay
The basic principle of the ATP bioluminescence method is based on the difference in ATP content of dead/live bacteria. The ATP content of live bacteria is constant. However, after death, the ATP in the bacteria will be rapidly depleted due to the action of intracellular enzymes. Therefore, the number of live bacteria can be calculated by measuring the concentration of ATP in the bacteria to be tested. We offer the ATP bioluminescence method to detect microorganisms in coffee, which has the technical characteristics of being simple, sensitive, fast, and efficient. We use this technology for microbiological inspection and food production sanitation testing. With this solution, we provide a sterile and rapid detection method for a wide range of coffee and beverage companies.
- Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA)
We offer an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay that overcomes the limitations of microbial detection methods in terms of detection efficiency. The equipment required is also simple, the detection efficiency is high, and the sensitivity is acceptable. We have used this technique extensively in coffee microbial detection and analysis.
