Microbial Contamination Detection in Pollen

Microbial Contamination Detection in Pollen

As an agricultural and health product, apart from the nutrition, it brings to people, the issue of food safety is not easy to ignore. There are many types of microorganisms in food, and some pathogenic microorganisms, in particular, are often used as important indicators of whether or not humans can consume the food. Rapid, convenient, and sensitive methods for detecting pathogenic microorganisms are of great importance for food quality control and regulation as well as for people's health. The main targets for detection are bacteria, fungi, and viruses. Both fresh pollen and processed pollen products have the potential to be contaminated with pathogenic microorganisms at all stages of cultivation and production. Therefore, passing tests for microorganisms in pollen is an important assessment criterion in terms of food safety.

What We Offer

Lifeasible is committed to providing you with a food safety-compliant analysis service for microbial contamination of pollen, including 10 common types of microbiological items. If you do not find a service that meets your needs in the microbiological tests shown below, please feel free to contact our experts for a bespoke test tailored to your needs. Our microbial testing procedures are carried out in accordance with standardised food safety practices and are monitored by our experienced experts to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of the pollen microbiological contamination analysis results.

Service Flow

Microbial Contamination Detection in Pollen

1. Sample Requirements

  • Fresh flowers, >5g;
  • Pollen or pollen-like food from flowers of different families, >1g.

*Pollen samples will be collected and stored in a sealed environment at a low temperature and away from light and sent out as soon as possible.

*The experimental samples will not be returned; please back them up by yourself. Before sampling, it is necessary to set up the control and experimental groups, and each group is suggested to repeat more than 3 times.

*There is no restriction on plant varieties. For varieties with special requirements or rare varieties, please contact our staff for more information.

2. Sandwich ELISA for Microbial Detection

  • Highly specific and highly sensitive microbiological detection assay.
  • Suitable for the analysis of complex compositions where the sample does not require purification prior to testing.

3. Pollen Microbiological Data Analysis

After you have submitted your pollen sample, we provide you with a detailed and professional report on your pollen microbiological program, including standardised microbiological results, customised microbiological results, and comparative standardised food safety indicators.

We Do Better

  • The highly sensitive and specific sandwich ELISA ensures the accuracy of microbiological data.
  • Due to the scalability and flexibility of the sandwich ELISA, you can customise the test for specific microbiological items at Lifeasible.
  • There is no restriction on plant species; pollen from different families can be tested for pollen microorganisms at Lifeasible.
  • The one-stop and standardised analysis process will greatly simplify your workload. All you need to do is provide pollen samples on request, and you will end up with a detailed analysis of pollen microbial contamination straight away.
