Pollen Allergy lgE Testing Service

Pollen allergy is a non-specific inflammatory response mediated by the specific immunoglobulin lgE after inhalation of allergenic pollen in individuals with atopic genetic qualities. It triggers a series of clinical symptoms, mainly allergic conjunctivitis, rhinitis, and asthma. The symptoms are distinctly temporal and regional in nature and are susceptible to certain meteorological factors. The allergenic components of pollen are mainly proteins. Different pollens have different protein compositions, and their antigenicity is inconsistent. Pollen fragments are inhaled into the respiratory tract on an airborne basis, and certain protein molecules in the pollen then leach out and bind to antigen-presenting cells through the skin or mucosal barrier, resulting in a series of allergic reactions. These specific proteins include bacitracin, stretch proteins, ribonucleases, a range of pectin degradation-related enzymes, etc. Immunoglobulin E (IgE) is currently measured by immunological testing techniques to determine whether an allergic reaction to pollen has occurred and to detect the type of allergen.

What We Offer

Lifeasible offers a professional pollen allergy lgE testing service, which mainly includes total IgE testing and specific lgE testing. The total lgE test is a test to determine the body's allergy status and is an important marker of allergy. Specific lgE testing is a determination of the type of allergen. Our pollen allergy lgE testing service is based on a professional immunoblotting technology testing platform that can advance your pollen allergy-related research. The entire analytical testing service is performed under standardised operations, following strict Qc standards.

Service Flow

Pollen Allergy lgE Testing Service

1. Sample Requirements

Fresh venous blood or serum to be tested, >1 mL.

*Try to use fresh specimens, which can be refrigerated at 2-8°C for 48 hours or frozen at -20°C for 4 weeks (samples should be protected from light).

*Avoid repeated freezing and thawing of specimens (more than 3 times).

*Avoid using haemolysed, cloudy, or lipid specimens.

*Maintain 2-8°C or freeze in transport.

*Avoid adding anticoagulants or protective or preservative agents to the specimen, as this may affect the test results.

*The experimental samples will not be returned; please back them up by yourself.

2. Pollen Allergic lgE Analysis Report

The pollen allergy lgE test results include analysis of total IgE and specific lgE results. Lifeasible will provide you with a detailed analysis of the test results based on the results of the immunoblot testing platform, including an analysis of the degree of pollen allergy, an analysis of the type of allergen, and rationalisation of anti-allergy recommendations.

We Do Better

  • Our standardised and professional lgE bioassay process provides an efficient and short-cycle analysis service.
  • In addition to the immunoblot lgE assay platform, our experts are also working on developing enzyme-linked immunoassays and a variety of convenient immunoassay kits, which will provide you with even more options.
  • Allergy analysis reports are summarised in as much detail as possible to suit your needs.
