Alkaloid Metabolomics

Alkaloids are a class of nitrogenous heterocyclic compounds present in plants, which are one of the types of secondary metabolites formed during the long-term evolutionary process of plants interacting with their environment, and they play an important role in the adaptation of plants to the ecological environment, resistance to pests and diseases, salt tolerance and damage resistance. Many alkaloids have special biological activities such as antitumor, antimicrobial, hypotensive, antispasmodic, and analgesic, which are important active parts of medicinal plants and are important sources of new drugs, pioneer compounds, and new chemical entities.

What We Offer

Precision-targeted metabolomics allows the extraction of information such as ion pairs and retention times of standards for the target metabolites of interest. The metabolomic data of biological samples are collected by MRM mode to achieve absolute characterization of metabolites. Sample Requirement

Plant root/ stem/ leaf/ fruit/ seed, wet weight >2 g

*The experimental samples will not be returned, please back them up by yourself. Before sampling, it is necessary to set up the control group and the experimental group, and each group is suggested to repeat more than 3 times.

*Quick-frozen preservation with liquid nitrogen can minimize the leakage time of plant samples at room temperature.

*There is no restriction on plant varieties. For varieties with special requirements or rare varieties, please contact our staff for more information.

  • We use high precision and high-resolution high-end precision targeting detection mass spectrometers to help achieve precise targeting identification.
  • We have a Standard QC and Sample QC dual quality control system and exogenous internal standard to ensure high stability of data.
  • Each compound contains more than 2 pairs of characteristic ion pairs, one pair is used as quantitative ion pair, and the remaining ion pairs are used as qualitative ion pairs to ensure qualitative accuracy, and we have a strict manual calibration process to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the method.
  • A wide linearity range, correlation coefficient > 0.99, can meet the quantitative analysis of different types of complex samples.
