Determination and Analysis of Total Potassium in Plant Samples

Potassium is one of the important elements necessary for plant growth, although crops contain a lot of potassium, plants need more potassium to grow. In almost all cases, crops contain far more potassium than other nutrients, including nitrogen. Therefore, the determination of potassium is essential in the study of plant growth, metabolism, nutrition, and so on. According to the different conditions of the samples (source, variety, organization) provided by each customer, Lifeasible adopts a variety of targeted pretreatment methods and monitoring and analysis methods to provide customers with professional, accurate, and reliable test data and plant total potassium determination and analysis results.

Potassium has high content and wide distribution in plants. It is one of the highly mobile elements, mainly in the form of ionic or soluble potassium salt, and exists in the most active organs and tissues of life. Potassium can promote the activation of enzymes in plants, enhance photosynthesis, promote sugar metabolism and protein synthesis, enhance plant drought resistance, cold resistance, saline-alkali resistance, pest resistance, and so on.

What We Offer

  • Determination and analysis of total potassium in plants.
  • Comparison of potassium absorption efficiency among different plant species.
  • Analysis of plant root-potassium-soil interaction.
  • Dynamic analysis of various forms of potassium.
  • Determination of potassium utilization efficiency and absorption efficiency.
  • Analysis of the Mechanism of efficient Utilization of potassium by plants.

*The service project is constantly updated, please contact our staff by email for more up-to-date and relevant information.

Sample Requirement

  • Dried plant tissue samples, > 2g
  • Fresh plant tissue samples, > 4g (If necessary, we can provide sample drying treatment free of charge.)

The experimental samples will not be returned, please back them up by yourself. Before sampling, it is necessary to set up the control group and the experimental group, and each group is suggested to repeat more than 3 times. Quick-frozen preservation with liquid nitrogen can minimize the leakage time of plant samples at room temperature. There is no restriction on plant varieties. For varieties with special requirements or rare varieties, please contact our staff for more information. [Inquiry]

After receiving the order, we will carry out your project as soon as possible and at the end of the project, we will provide a detailed technical report, including relevant experimental steps, relevant parameters of the experiment, original pictures, original data, and accurate and reliable experiment results.
