Detection of Plant Tissue Pectin

The determination and analysis of the species and content of pectin in plant samples can help to understand the positive role of pectin in plant growth, morphological development, plant defense, and biomedicine. Lifeasible uses the colorimetric method and other biochemical methods to detect pectin series substances in plant samples, which can detect the content and changes of pectin series substances efficiently and accurately.

Pectin is a component of the cell wall, which is the most abundant in berries, fruits, and stems. Pectin, cellulose, and other components constitute the connecting substances between cell walls and cells, which can make plant cells firmly adhere to each other so that the tissue has appropriate mechanical properties such as firmness, elasticity, plasticity, and so on. Besides, compared with cellulose and hemicellulose, pectin has stronger moisturizing properties and is also an important moisturizing component in the cell wall.

Pectin has physiological functions in plant growth, morphological development, and plant defense. it is also widely used as gelation and stabilized polymer in a variety of foods and products, and plays an active role in human health and a variety of biomedical applications.

*The testing project is constantly updated, please contact our staff by email for more up-to-date and relevant information.

After receiving the order, we will carry out your project as soon as possible and at the end of the project, we will provide a detailed technical report, including relevant experimental steps, relevant parameters of the experiment, original pictures, original data, and accurate and reliable experiment results.

Sample Requirement

Dry or fresh samples can be used. Before sampling, it is necessary to set up the control group and the experimental group, and each group is suggested to repeat more than 3 times. Please make sure that the sample size is more than 2g and that there is no restriction on plant varieties.

The experimental samples will not be returned, please back them up by yourself. For varieties with special requirements or rare varieties, please contact our staff for more information.

*Quick-frozen preservation with liquid nitrogen can minimize the leakage time of plant samples at room temperature.

We Do Better

Lifeasible can use a variety of analytical methods to detect and analyze more pectin components in plant varieties and can provide customized testing for rare plant varieties. We always put quality assurance in the first place and provide efficient and accurate testing and analysis services for customers around the world.
