Determination of Plant Saponins

Saponins are a class of glycosides, which have common structural characteristics, that is, they are all connected by hydrophobic sapogenins and hydrophilic glycosyl groups through glycosidic bonds, and the relative molecular weight is generally high. Saponins exist widely in terrestrial higher plants and a small amount in marine organisms such as starfish and sea cucumbers. According to the different structures of aglycone, saponins can be divided into triterpenoid saponins and steroidal saponins

Sample Requirement

  • Dry sample, > 3 g
  • Fresh samples, > 6 g (we will provide free drying service for this type of samples)

The experimental samples will not be returned, please back them up by yourself. Before sampling, it is necessary to set up the control group and the experimental group, and each group is suggested to repeat more than 3 times. Quick-frozen preservation with liquid nitrogen can minimize the leakage time of plant samples at room temperature. There is no restriction on plant varieties.
