Shotgun Method for Identification of Plant Proteins

Shotgun proteomics refers to the use of bottom-up plant proteomics techniques to study all proteins in a complex mixture. It combines high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) techniques with mass spectrometry (MS). The most unique feature of shotgun proteomics is that it allows the identification and quantification of multiple proteins with minimal separation of proteins.

What We Offer

Shotgun protein full spectrum analysis aims to analyze and identify as many proteins as possible in plant samples. shotgun protein full spectrum analysis is the full spectrum analysis of plant proteins using the shotgun technique, which is based on enzymatic digestion of the proteins in the mixture, followed by separation of the peptides by liquid chromatography (LC), followed by identification of the peptides by tandem mass spectrometry. The shotgun protein full spectrum analysis allows the identification of all proteins of a sample, which means that hundreds of proteins can be identified simultaneously.

Sample Requirement

  • Tissue samples or protein samples

*For plant protein samples identified by mass spectrometry, gloves, and head coverings should be worn during sample preparation to avoid contamination of the sample by your own keratin.

*The experimental samples will not be returned, please back them up by yourself.

*Other important notes can be obtained by contacting our staff directly.

We Do Better

The service provided by Lifeasible allows for large-scale protein identification and quantification, comparative analysis of different samples, and application to dynamic proteomics analysis. Besides, we can also identify and quantify single proteins, identify, and quantify proteins in complexes, identify and quantify post-translational modifications, and perform protein interaction analysis. All our efforts are aimed only at providing high-quality professional phytotechnology services to the satisfaction of our customers.
