Determination and Analysis of Total Sulfur in Plant Samples

Sulfur is the least of the six nutrient elements needed by plants, accounting for about 0.1% of the plant weight. Although sulfur is not a structural element in plant cells, it plays an extremely important role. Sulfate is the main form of sulfur nutrition in the soil, which is absorbed into the plant by plant roots in an active way. As the main reducer of inorganic sulfur, plants play a key role in the global sulfur cycle. The absorption, transport, and assimilation metabolism of sulfate in soil by plants, as well as the synthesis of a series of sulfur-containing metabolites with important biological functions, are not only closely related to plant growth and development, stress tolerance, and resistance to diseases and insect pests, but also affect the yield and quality of crops. Therefore, the determination and analysis of sulfur are essential.

*The service project is constantly updated, please contact our staff by email for more up-to-date and relevant information.

Sample Requirement

  • Dried plant tissue samples, > 3g
  • Fresh plant tissue samples, > 6g (If necessary, we can provide sample drying treatment free of charge.)

The experimental samples will not be returned, please back them up by yourself. Before sampling, it is necessary to set up the control group and the experimental group, and each group is suggested to repeat more than 3 times. Quick-frozen preservation with liquid nitrogen can minimize the leakage time of plant samples at room temperature. There is no restriction on plant varieties. For varieties with special requirements or rare varieties, please contact our staff for more information. [Inquiry]

After receiving the order, we will carry out your project as soon as possible and at the end of the project, we will provide a detailed technical report, including relevant experimental steps, relevant parameters of the experiment, original pictures, original data, and accurate and reliable experiment results.
