Micro Plant Ammonium Nitrogen Content Assay Kit
Cat# | PBK-019 |
Specification | 100T/96S |
Unit | Box |
Description | Nitrogen is an essential element that constitutes living organisms, and the nitrogen cycle in nature includes many transformations. Nitrogen in the air is fixed into ammoniacal nitrogen by nitrogen-fixing microorganisms and symbiosis between plants and microorganisms, and is converted into nitrate nitrogen by nitrifying microorganisms, which is assimilated into organic nitrogen compounds by plants or microorganisms, and the content of ammoniacal nitrogen in plant tissues reflects the degree of stress in plants. |
Test Method | Spectrophotometer/Microplate Reader |
Storage Conditions | 2-8℃ |
Shelf Life | 6 months |
Detection Principle | α-amino acid and hydrated ninhydrin solution together with heating, oxidative deamination into the corresponding α-keto acid, keto acid further decarboxylation into aldehydes, hydrated ninhydrin is reduced, in a weak acid environment, the reduced ninhydrin, ammonia and another molecule of hydrated ninhydrin reaction, the condensation of blue-violet substances, in 580 nm at the characteristic absorption peak. |
Self-prepared Laboratory Supplies and Equipment | Balance, mortar and pestle, room temperature centrifuge, visible spectrophotometer/enzymometer, micro-quartz cuvette/96-well plate, thermostatic water bath. |
