Plant Tissue ROS Detection Kit (NBT Method)
Cat# | PSR-014 |
Specification | 3*100 mL |
Unit | Box |
Description | Plant tissues produce a variety of reactive oxygen species (ROS) under stressful environmental conditions; ROS are very reactive and extremely unstable, so the detection of ROS is usually dependent on their end products. Superoxide anion is a type of reactive oxygen species and belongs to an oxygen-containing radical that reduces NBT (Nitrogen Blue Tetrazolium) to a water-insoluble blue metazanoid compound, thus locating superoxide anion in tissues. |
Storage Conditions | Store at 2-8℃, protected from light. |
Shelf Life | 6 months |
Applications | Plant Tissue ROS Detection Kit (NBT Method) is used for staining of superoxide anion in living plant tissues, generally applied to the overall staining of tender root tips, leaves, etc. After staining, the areas with superoxide anion aggregation show blue to dark blue color. |
